“DOITALL” Dupré Kelly, (one-third of the Legendary trio Lords Of The Underground) gave us five number one hits including classic records like “Chief Rocka” and “Funky Child”. and over twenty-five years in the music business. On September 28th, 1994  Newark Mayor  Sharpe James would honor the group with their very own day making it “Lords of the Underground Day”.

Dupré is a product of the Newark public school system starting at Madison Avenue Elementary, later transferring to 13th Avenue Elementary school, then attending Essex County Vocational and Technical School (Newark Tech). He would go on to attend the HBCU Shaw University where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

Dupré is currently the Co-Chief Executive Officer of 211 Media Group (211MG), a company that specializes in all aspects of media, television and film production as well as event planning and consulting. 211MG has co-produced the annual Lincoln Park Music Festival, 24 Hours of Peace, and the Family Unity Festival.

He is also one of the founders of a not-for-profit 501c3 company, 211 Community Impact (211CI), which impacts the community through grassroots programs addressing literacy, homelessness, mental health and wellness, and youth initiatives.

Dupré Kelly is running for Councilman at Large because he believes in order to secure a better tomorrow for us all, we must make greater investments in our youth and neighborhoods today. As Councilman, Dupré Kelly will work tirelessly to:

Expand the Summer Youth Program

Utilize Arts & Culture to spur Job Creation

Make sure Neighborhoods are included in the Downtown Renaissance
